How to uninstall or remove java7-jdk software package from Debian 7 (Wheezy)

You can uninstall or removes an installed java7-jdk package itself from Debian 7 (Wheezy) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove java7-jdk

Uninstall java7-jdk including dependent package

If you would like to remove java7-jdk and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove java7-jdk
Use Purging java7-jdk

If you use with purge options to java7-jdk package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge java7-jdk

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove java7-jdk
