java-gcj-compat software package provides virtual package provided by gcj-jre, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install java-gcj-compat
java-gcj-compat is installed in your system.
Make ensure the java-gcj-compat package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep java-gcj-compat*
You will get with java-gcj-compat package name, version, architecture and description in a table
