irda-tools software package provides virtual package provided by irda-utils, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install irda-tools
irda-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the irda-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep irda-tools*
You will get with irda-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
