ircd software package provides virtual package provided by ircd-ratbox, ircd-ircu, inspircd, ircd-hybrid, charybdis, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ircd
ircd is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ircd package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ircd*
You will get with ircd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
