indicator-status-provider-pidg software package provides indicator-messages status provider for pidgin, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install indicator-status-provider-pidg
indicator-status-provider-pidg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the indicator-status-provider-pidg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep indicator-status-provider-pidg*
