How to Install httpd software package in Debian 7 (Wheezy)

httpd software package provides virtual package provided by apache2-mpm-prefork, nginx-extras, bozohttpd, nginx-naxsi, ebhttpd, lighttpd, webfs, yaws, aolserver4-daemon, nginx-full, ocsigen, aolserver4-core, nginx-light, nginx-naxsi-ui, mini-httpd, micro-httpd, apache2-mpm-worker, boa, apache2-mpm-event, ocsigenserver, apache2-mpm-itk, tntnet, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install httpd

httpd is installed in your system.

Make ensure the httpd package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep httpd*

You will get with httpd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
