How to Install grep software package in Debian 7 (Wheezy)

grep software package provides GNU grep, egrep and fgrep, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install grep 

grep is installed in your system.

Make ensure the grep package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep grep *

You will get with grep package name, version, architecture and description in a table
