gnome-desktop-data software package provides Common files for GNOME desktop apps, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-desktop-data
gnome-desktop-data is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-desktop-data package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-desktop-data *
You will get with gnome-desktop-data package name, version, architecture and description in a table
