gnome-app-install software package provides virtual package provided by software-center, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-app-install
gnome-app-install is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-app-install package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-app-install*
You will get with gnome-app-install package name, version, architecture and description in a table
