How to uninstall or remove gftp-text software package from Debian 7 (Wheezy)

You can uninstall or removes an installed gftp-text package itself from Debian 7 (Wheezy) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove gftp-text 

Uninstall gftp-text including dependent package

If you would like to remove gftp-text and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove gftp-text 
Use Purging gftp-text

If you use with purge options to gftp-text package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge gftp-text 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove gftp-text
