gdal-contrib software package provides virtual package provided by dans-gdal-scripts, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gdal-contrib
gdal-contrib is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gdal-contrib package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gdal-contrib*
You will get with gdal-contrib package name, version, architecture and description in a table
