ftdi-eeprom software package provides Tool for reading/erasing/flashing FTDI USB chip eeproms, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ftdi-eeprom
ftdi-eeprom is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ftdi-eeprom package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ftdi-eeprom *
You will get with ftdi-eeprom package name, version, architecture and description in a table
