How to uninstall or remove fortran77-compiler software package from Debian 7 (Wheezy)

You can uninstall or removes an installed fortran77-compiler package itself from Debian 7 (Wheezy) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove fortran77-compiler

Uninstall fortran77-compiler including dependent package

If you would like to remove fortran77-compiler and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fortran77-compiler
Use Purging fortran77-compiler

If you use with purge options to fortran77-compiler package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge fortran77-compiler

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fortran77-compiler
