ffmpeg-dbg software package provides Debug symbols for Libav related packages (transitional package), you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ffmpeg-dbg
ffmpeg-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ffmpeg-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ffmpeg-dbg *
You will get with ffmpeg-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
