dans-gdal-scripts software package provides GDAL contributed tools by Geographic Information Network of Alaska, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dans-gdal-scripts
dans-gdal-scripts is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dans-gdal-scripts package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dans-gdal-scripts *
You will get with dans-gdal-scripts package name, version, architecture and description in a table
