$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install cons 

cons is installed in your system.

Make ensure the cons package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cons *

You will get with cons package name, version, architecture and description in a table

cons package basic information:
