commit-patch software package provides utility to commit fine grained patches to source code control repositories, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install commit-patch
commit-patch is installed in your system.
Make ensure the commit-patch package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep commit-patch *
You will get with commit-patch package name, version, architecture and description in a table
