cheese-common software package provides Common files for the Cheese tool to take pictures and videos, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cheese-common
cheese-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cheese-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cheese-common *
You will get with cheese-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
