basic256 software package provides educational BASIC programming environment for children, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install basic256
basic256 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the basic256 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep basic256 *
You will get with basic256 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
