asterisk-mp3 software package provides MP3 playback support for the Asterisk PBX, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install asterisk-mp3
asterisk-mp3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the asterisk-mp3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep asterisk-mp3 *
You will get with asterisk-mp3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
