How to uninstall or remove acpi-modules-9.0-2-486-di software package from Debian 7 (Wheezy)

You can uninstall or removes an installed acpi-modules-9.0-2-486-di package itself from Debian 7 (Wheezy) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove acpi-modules-9.0-2-486-di

Uninstall acpi-modules-9.0-2-486-di including dependent package

If you would like to remove acpi-modules-9.0-2-486-di and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove acpi-modules-9.0-2-486-di

Use Purging acpi-modules-9.0-2-486-di

If you use with purge options to acpi-modules-9.0-2-486-di package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge acpi-modules-9.0-2-486-di
