acpi-fakekey software package provides tool to generate fake key events, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install acpi-fakekey
acpi-fakekey is installed in your system.
Make ensure the acpi-fakekey package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep acpi-fakekey *
You will get with acpi-fakekey package name, version, architecture and description in a table
